Beyond the Gates’ Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) Rushed to Emergency Care Just Hours After Filming — Doctor Warns: “She Needs a Transfusion. Now.”
Just hours earlier, she was in full glam, smiling in the makeup chair, memorizing lines for Beyond the Gates.
Now, actress Daphnee Duplaix, known to fans as the fierce and fabulous Nicole, is recovering from what could have been a life-threatening medical emergency.

“I Felt Fine… But I Wasn’t.”
In a candid and emotional Instagram story, Duplaix revealed the moment everything changed.
After enduring a shocking 28-day-long menstrual cycle, she decided—at a friend’s urging—to finally visit a functional health doctor.
The visit came just in time.
“They took vial after vial of blood,” Duplaix shared, still processing the whirlwind. “I just wanted to figure out how to age gracefully.”
But what the doctor discovered the next morning was anything but graceful.
The Call That Changed Everything
“I was literally walking into the hair and makeup room when my doctor called,” she said. “She told me, ‘I need you to go to the ER right now.’”
The reason?
Her hemoglobin levels had dropped so dangerously low that her doctor issued a stark warning:
“She needs a transfusion. Now.”
A Hidden Crisis
What makes this story so frightening is that Duplaix felt completely fine.
No dizziness.
No fatigue.
No headaches.
Just… fine.
“I had no idea anything was wrong,” she admitted. “I was literally about to start filming. If I hadn’t gone to that appointment, I might not be here right now.”
Doctors later told her she had half the amount of blood she should’ve had. One more day without treatment could have had fatal consequences.
The Show Must Go On
In true professional fashion, Duplaix didn’t cancel her shoot.
She finished filming that day — then went to the hospital for emergency care.
“She’s a total warrior,” one fan commented. “Nicole energy in real life!”
At the hospital, she received two full bags of blood, which helped stabilize her condition.
A Wake-Up Call for Everyone
Duplaix took to social media not to ask for sympathy, but to warn others.
“This message is for women, for men, for everyone. If something feels off, just GO. Don’t wait.”
She thanked her friend and doctor, saying they “saved [her] life.”
Still Nicole. Still Fighting.
Despite the emergency, Duplaix says she’s feeling much better — and yes, she’s already learning lines for the next episode.
We’re beyond grateful she caught it in time. And it makes one thing very clear:
You never really know what someone is going through…
Until they almost don’t make it.
