Josh Duggar Transferred to Federal Medical Center, the Same Texas Prison Joe Exotic is Being Held
Josh Duggar is now in the same prison as fellow reality TV star Joe Exotic.
On Tuesday, June 2, TMZ reported that on Friday, May 29, the 19 Kids and Counting alum, 38, was transferred from minimum-security prison FCI Seagoville in Texas — where he’s been since June 2022 — to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, per the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which did not share the reason for the move.
According to the BOP website, the Federal Medical Center is “an administrative security federal medical center with a detention center.”
The Tiger King, 63, is incarcerated there as he fights prostate cancer. He is serving a 21-year sentence after his 2019 conviction for a murder-for-hire plot, violating the Lacey Act, and the Endangered Species Act.
As In Touch previously reported, Duggar was found guilty of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in 2021. The former reality TV personality made four appeals of his conviction, with the first three being denied and the fourth still pending.
However, things haven’t gone Duggar’s way, as People reported in May that his prison sentence was extended three different times and is now set for February 2, 2033, two months after he was first supposed to get out.
In April, Duggar’s cousin Amy King posted a TikTok video on the matter, claiming, “He’s lost more good time credit because of his rule violations,” adding, “as we know in the past he’s been caught with a cell phone, so it might be something like that.”
