BTG Day Ahead Recap: Anita Tells Vernon She Killed Barbara & Hayley’s Upset When Dani Rushes to Bill at the Hospital

Chelsea meets a mysterious woman, Andre shows Leslie the surveillance footage, and Jacob gets a search warrant.

At home, Vernon finds Anita pensively staring into space. As he sits with her, she tells him there’s something he needs to know.

She explains there was a fourth Articulettes. Her name was Barbara. She gave them their name and started the group.

Barbara brought them together and they were supposed to be sisters forever. Then they met Dante…

He though Barbara was too rough and couldn’t be polished up. Anita thought Dante was there only way to stardom so she let him push her out.

She’s spent years trying to distance herself from the person who chose fame over family. “I killed her, just as surely as if I had pulled tat trigger myself,” she says.

Her stone cold ambition drove Barbara to suicide. Vernon explains she’s not responsible. She was just ambitious and that’s normal.

They argue the point and she accuses him of making excuses for her. She doens’t deserve to feel better about herself.

He doesn’t see how making herself hurt will bring Barbara back. Indulging in self-blame is useless.

Vernon thinks she needs to forgive herself and stop this. She gave Barbara’s family money anonymously to make her feel better but it didn’t.

At Orphie Gene’s, Sharon and Tracy discuss how they can get their careers back. Sharon is perfectly happy to do it on Anita’s back.

They need to demand to split the songs three ways. Tracy thinks she’s being selfish but Sharon is sure Anita would understand selfish is the only way to win.

Tracy would rather leave her two bandmates to fight this out among themselves. Sharon assures her that she’s on her side, not Anita’s.

The only person Tracy is really feeling for is Barbara. Sharon agrees to be honest with Anita about using the reunion to relaunch her career.

He says that if she sees the value in still doing it, she needs to handle this.

Back at her home, Anita tells Vernon how hard it was to tell him about Barbara. He understands that secrets like that can be poison.

He promises to be by her side and not let her go through this alone.

At Dani’s, the Tide sits in the corner as she and Andre finish having sex. She says it was different. Their fight made the sex better.

Dani asks if he wants to be the “CEO of orgasms.” He points out that beyond sex, they have something real and emotional.

As they joke, Naomi calls her mom to fill her in about Bill.

Bill is brought into the hospital by Hayley and Naomi. They fill Doug in on his symptoms.

Doug wants to call neurology and Bill keeps insisting he’s fine.

Stepping aside to Shanice, Naomi asks her if Bill could be having a stroke.

Once they get him to a room, Doug explains Bill may have had a TIA and that could be a warning for a stroke.

Doug reluctantly agrees to let Bill go home if they monitor him and immediately contact the hospital if anything happens.

Dani bursts in, declaring she needs to know if Bill is alright. She’s told about his mini-stroke.

Dani is sure that he’s not faking given how he can’t stand hospitals. They remind him that he’s just a man and needs to drop his pride.

She’s sure he can do that. When she jokes that she didn’t wish this on him because if she wanted him dead, he would be, he chuckles.

Once he’s dressed, Bill tells Hayley that he and Dani are done, but their connection can’t be totally severed.

She admits she was “jelly” not to talk him down when he wanted to “go Hulk.”

In the corridor, Dani and Naomi share a moment, admitting how worried they were that they were going to lose Bill.

They tell each other how much they love each other.

Leslie sneaks in, wearing a hat and sunglasses as a disguise, Shanice recognizes her and orders her out.

They bicker about the Duprees and how they can get away with everything. Leslie wants to see the security footage and tells her she’s desperate.

Shanice tells her the police have the footage, not her. Andre found it.
